The latest Japanese preliminaries tournament stream revealed three new cards that will be part of One Piece Card Game’s third set – the Mighty Enemies.

A new variant of Izou is up first, a red character one-cost 2000 power with an on-play ability that allows its user to look at the top card of its deck and get one Whitebear Pirate card. Next is a much stronger Don Krieg, a green character six-cost that has 8000 power that lets you K.O. two of your opponent’s rested characters that cost four or less in exchange for two cards. Finally, there’s Katakuri, an eight-cost 8000 power beater that allows you to put any eight-cost or less character to its owner’s life pile face-up.

Izou

Red Izou is a very good card for Whitebeard pirates’ decks. This card does the same thing that the “Whitebeard Pirates” event card does but better because you’ll have a 2000-power body that can be 4000 with the Moby Dick ability and she also has a +1000 counter value. Given the pros, we’ll definitely see her replacing the event card.

Don Krieg

After being just a vanilla character in OP-01, Don Krieg is back with a huge buff. He’s now coming back to OP-03 as a six-cost 7000 power beater that makes Blue Luffy look paltry. With it’s on-play ability, decks with smaller creatures such as Zoro will now have a very good counter in Green. Don Krieg’s abilities will be very good in the matchup against aggressive decks because not only he can K.O. the smaller creatures, but he can also be a huge threat that can easily swing for 8000 with double attack.

Katakuri

The most interesting among the three is the newest addition to the yellow cards, Katakuri. He is the first secret rare revealed for the set and it looks like he’ll be a staple card for any yellow decks.

Katakuri’s ability lets Yellow decks deal with big blockers and beaters efficiently. This is very effective against eight-cost Oden and the seven and eight-cost Kidd. The best part of his ability is you can decide when do you want to see that character again because you’ll have the choice to either put it on top or the bottom of it’s owner’s life pile.

The newest set of One Piece Trading Card Game is set to release in February 2023.
