Playing a trading card game is a costly hobby, but the beauty of One Piece Card Game is that you can play competitively without breaking the bank. If you’re a player who wants to be competitive in the OP-02 meta but wants to spend less than a hundred dollars, we recommend using the cheapest competitive deck in the meta: Whitebeard deck.

What’s the cheapest competitive deck in the meta

When he was released, Whitebeard was one of the most underrated leaders in OP-02 meta. For the longest time, players have tried different builds with Whitebeard to no avail but recently, players must’ve discovered the perfect build and gameplay for the “strongest man in the world,” as Whitebeard players have been scoring some podium finish in tournaments lately. He even placed second in one of Japan’s preliminaries tournaments under the hands of Japanese player named Banapeka.

As mentioned, Whitebeard is the cheapest competitive deck in the meta, as it mostly comprises uncommon and common cards from OP-02. The only rares on the deck are Marco, Jozu, Vista, and Seaquake, with Ace being the only SR.

However, Guard Point and Chopper are the hardest cards to get for this deck, as they are exclusive to ST-01 and the Uta promo pack. If you want to re-create Banapeka’s Whitebeard deck, you only need to spend Y7910 or USD 62.

Here’s the breakdown:

  • SR Ace – Y580 (2) = Y1,160
  • R Vista = Y400 (4) = Y1,600
  • R Jozu = Y200 (4) = Y800
  • R Marco = Y100 (4) = Y400
  • R Seaquake = Y100 (4) = Y400
  • UC Squard = Y50 (4) = Y200
  • UC Otama = Y400 (4) = Y1600
  • UC Radical Beam!! = Y100 (4) = Y400
  • C Atmos = Y20 (4) = Y80
  • C Kingdew = Y20 (4) = Y80
  • C Moby Dick = Y50 (4) = Y200
  • ST-01 (For Chopper and Guard Point) = Y990

Note: Prices are based on Yuyutei, and western prices might differ.

So if you’re a new nakama and want to play competitively, this is your chance to get on the One Piece Card Game with Whitebeard.
