Ray Winessa, along with his Sakazuki deck, emerged triumphant at the Bandai Card Games Jakarta tournament, defeating 255 other players to claim the victory.
The journey to the championship was a rollercoaster ride for Ray Winessa as he lost his very first round of what’s supposed to be a 9-round of Swiss. From then on, Ray won against the next 4 opponents, and then, a massive tragedy struck. The organizers lost the bracket.
To salvage the situation, the organizers made a controversial decision to change the format of the game. Such a move, especially midway through a tournament, is highly irregular and raised eyebrows within the One Piece Card Game community. The unexpected turn of events sparked heated discussions and criticism on social media platforms, with many questioning the integrity and professionalism of the organizers.
Amidst the controversy, the tournament pressed on, ultimately leading to a climactic finale between Ray Winessa and Aqua from Singapore. The finals featured a mirror Sakazuki match, and as the dust was settled, Ray was victorious and claimed the title alongside the 6 winner cards.
