An official post from the OPCG JP team confirmed that Mihawk and Perona will be the new Flagship prizes starting January 2024. Mihawk will be the champion card, while Perona will be the Top 8 card.

Fans have mixed reactions to the announcement as both prizes are not serial numbered. This broke the cycle of serial numbered prizes as Kaido and Big Mom are not serialized and fans are hoping that the next cycle will feature serialized prizes. Perona also came as a surprise as this is just a new card from OP06 and her getting a reprint was really unexpected.
